Join writer and teacher, Erin Doppes O’Brien for this 8-week graphic novel course. Artists will explore the exciting world of graphic storytelling. Students will gain familiarity with the vocabulary and tools used to make dynamic panel art. Class work will focus on character design, storyboarding, and the essential elements of eye-catching covers.
Classes are online via Zoom and details will be sent out in advance regarding meeting links and expectations.
Make- up classes are not available for this course.
Materials for this class are simple:
1. HB PENCILS (softer are too dark and hard erase, harder are too light if wanting to print)
2. ERASER (eraser on pencil tip will probably wear out)
3. BLANK COPY PAPER or any 8½” x 11” paper, but if printing later on they need to all be same size & copy paper weight
4. COLORED PENCILS
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made within 20 days of the class start date are nonrefundable. Cancellations made before the 20 days out are subject to a $50 deposit.
